BEE-utiful Woodinville – a community art project and event

What: Woodinville is now a BEE CITY! Help us celebrate by painting a fence panel with images of pollinators and/or pollinator habitat. Add your panel to hundreds of others to create a beautiful collaborative art project.
Where: Right on our main street along NE 175th Street in Woodinville. Green Partners have offered the fence around their development site while construction takes place.
Who: You, your club, your kids, your students, everyone is welcome to paint a panel!
When: ● Now – March 27: Pick up your ready-to-paint panels between 1-4pm Monday-Friday at Crown Bees: 17721 132nd Ave NE in Woodinville! (Can’t make it in during those times? Reach out to creativedistrict@woodinvilleartsalliance.com and we’ll help you out.)
April 3: Deadline for returning your painted panel to Crown Bees.
Saturday, April 25: Join the fun and celebrate Earth Day as we hang the panels and hold a festive resource fair in the old Molbak’s parking lot from 1-4pm.
How: Once you receive your primed panel, paint it and return it by April 3rd. If you like, put your name on the back of the panel. Then join in the fun as we celebrate Earth Day and install the art project together with a festive resource fair in the old Molbak’s parking lot.
Just a few rules: ● Use water-based acrylic or latex paint or permanent pens – no tempera or watercolor paints. You can purchase these in aisle 27 in McLendon’s.
● No words please, just images of pollinators and/or pollinator habitat (a great opportunity to get to know your local pollinators!)
● If you like, add your name to the back of the panel. If a group of you come together to create a larger image, please number them in order on the back.
Have fun!
